I am Nancy Syrop and I am asking for your vote in the election for Clerk of Cobb County Superior Court. I am a lawyer with almost 30 years of experience working for the people of Cobb County. As lawyers we rely on the Superior Court Clerk’s office to provide accurate and up to date records to allow us to do our jobs most effectively. I know the importance of an efficient and effective Clerk’s office. The Judges of Cobb County depend upon the Clerk’s record keeping system to reach fair and just decisions. Cobb County citizens need a Clerk’s record system that is easy to access with accurate and up-to-date information. Citizens need a Clerk’s office that is friendly and helpful to the people it serves.
- I will work hard and make it a priority to assure that the records filed in the office are quickly and efficiently entered into the system.
- I will ensure that the information collected is accurate and reliable, allowing the public and the legal community to rely upon it.
- I will ensure all those who interact with the office of the Clerk of Superior Court are treated with a high level of care and personal service.
I have selected Lisa Blalock as my Chief Deputy to run alongside me. She comes with 28 years of experience working in the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Cobb County.
As the only attorney on the Democratic ballot, I am the most qualified candidate and will run the office with integrity and efficiency for Cobb County. I will work hard to serve the best interests of the people of Cobb County
Nancy is an attorney with nearly 30 years of legal experience. Nancy has worked in various positions directly dealing with the Cobb County judicial system. She has worked in law offices in Cobb County practicing family law and criminal defense. Nancy has experience as a staff attorney for a Judge of the Superior Court of Cobb County. For the past ten years she has owned and managed her own litigation practice, Syrop & Ingle, with a focus on family law.
As a family lawyer, Nancy has the privilege and opportunity to help and guide people and through the legal process. This is often the most difficult time of their lives. The job requires knowledge of the law and the court system. Nancy is often called on by families and Superior Court Judges to serve as a Guardian ad Litem, helping children caught up in difficult family situations. She assists families and the courts in determining the best interests of the children. Nancy also volunteers her time providing pro bono legal assistance.
Nancy lives in Marietta with her husband of 30 years, Michael, a practicing attorney in Cobb. They have lived in Cobb for 28 years. The couple has raised two daughters in Cobb County. Sarah is a biomedical engineer in Seattle and Rachel works in public relations in Manhattan. Nancy’s parents are retired and live in Marietta.
